Electronic Signature Consent & Disclosure

This Electronic Signature Disclosure ("Disclosure") applies to any and all communications, documents, or records that are related to your use of BeeSign's electronic signature services. By using BeeSign to sign documents electronically, you consent to the use of electronic signatures, electronic records, and electronic delivery of documents as described herein.

Your Consent — You Understand and Agree That:

  • Legally Binding Signatures: Electronic signatures created through BeeSign are legally binding and have the same legal effect, validity, and enforceability as handwritten signatures under applicable law, including the U.S. Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act, the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA), and other applicable international electronic signature laws.
  • Electronic Records: You consent to receive, sign, and store documents and records in electronic form. These electronic records satisfy any requirement that such records be provided to you in writing.
  • Delivery of Documents: Documents requiring your signature may be delivered to you electronically via email, in-app notification, or through a secure link. It is your responsibility to ensure your contact information is accurate and up to date.
  • Right to Paper Copies: You have the right to receive a paper copy of any electronically signed document. To request a paper copy, please contact us at support@beesign.net. There may be a fee associated with paper delivery.
  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may withdraw your consent to use electronic signatures at any time by contacting us at support@beesign.net. Withdrawing consent will not affect the legality or validity of any documents previously signed electronically. Please note that withdrawing consent may limit your ability to use certain BeeSign services.
  • Hardware & Software Requirements: To access and retain electronic records, you need a device with internet access, a current web browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge), and a valid email address. You may also need a PDF viewer to download and store signed documents.
  • Audit Trail: BeeSign maintains a detailed audit trail for every document, including timestamps, IP addresses, and signer authentication details, to ensure the integrity and non-repudiation of each signed document.

Consent to Receive Transactional SMS Messages

As part of our electronic signature and document management services, BeeSign may send you transactional SMS (text) messages. These messages are essential to the operation and security of our platform. By providing your phone number and proceeding with our services, you agree to the following:

Types of SMS Communications

  • Two-Factor Authentication (2FA): Verification codes sent to confirm your identity when signing documents or accessing your account.
  • Account Notifications: Important alerts related to your account security, document status, and signature requests.
  • Document Signing Alerts: Notifications when a document requires your signature or when a document you sent has been signed.

Important Information

  • Service Provider: Transactional SMS messages are delivered by Didit, Inc., our trusted messaging partner.
  • Messaging Frequency: Message frequency may vary depending on your usage of BeeSign services (e.g., signing events, login attempts, and account activity).
  • Message & Data Rates: Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. BeeSign is not responsible for any charges assessed by your wireless provider.
  • Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving transactional SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. Please note that opting out of transactional messages may affect your ability to use security features such as 2FA and phone-based signer verification.
  • Help: For assistance, reply HELP to any message, or contact us at support@beesign.net.
  • No Marketing: BeeSign does not use SMS for marketing or promotional purposes. All text messages are strictly transactional and related to the services you are actively using.

Identity Verification Disclosure

To ensure the security and integrity of electronic signatures, BeeSign may require identity verification for certain documents or signing workflows. When identity verification is requested, the process is powered by our third-party verification provider, Didit.

How Identity Verification Works

  1. Verification Request: BeeSign (the data controller) initiates the identity verification request as part of the document signing workflow. BeeSign determines the purpose and means of processing your personal data for identity verification.
  2. Verification Provider: Didit acts as the verification processor powering the identity verification flow. Didit may collect and process personal data including your government-issued ID, a selfie or live photo, and associated biometric data to verify your identity.
  3. Data Processing: Your identity data is processed solely for the purpose of verifying your identity in connection with the electronic signature workflow. The verification result (approved or declined) is communicated back to BeeSign to proceed with or restrict the signing process.

Your Rights & Applicable Policies

Your use of the identity verification feature is subject to the following policies. We encourage you to review them carefully:

Biometric Data Notice

During identity verification, biometric data (such as facial recognition data) may be collected and processed by Didit to compare your live selfie against your government-issued identification document. This biometric data is used solely for the purpose of identity verification and is handled in accordance with Didit's Verification Privacy Notice. BeeSign does not store biometric data. The verification result (pass/fail) and associated metadata are retained in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
